After the shoot, the music and fashion legend herself, Rihanna, gifted Latouche the jacket. It was a gesture of admiration and appreciation, a token of their shared passion for fashion and art.
For Tsanna, this gift held a special place in her heart, a constant reminder of her immensely successful career in the modeling industry. It represents the countless hours of hard work, dedication, and the countless runways she had conquered.
In the end, the jacket has became more than just a piece of clothing. It became a symbol of empowerment, resilience, and the limitless possibilities that await those who dare to dream. To tie the jacket in with a previous work where I painted Rihanna, I added wings to the jacket sleeves. The previous painting titled “Give Me Back My Wings” depicts Rihanna as Medusa.
In Greek mythology, the infamous Medusa is a gorgon known for her hair of snakes and ability to turn people to stone with just one glance. Gorgons, in general, are often portrayed with wings.
