Momentum Chiropractic Mural Project (2023)

Momentum Chiropractic Mural Project (2023, Spartanburg)

Created with full creative freedom from Dr. Preston Gregory, this multi-room mural project explored themes of growth, health, and human consciousness through mythological and symbolic imagery.

The main waiting room features mirrored skeletal figures surrounded by climbing vines. The composition reflects ideas of self-reflection and personal evolution, with the vines intentionally separated to suggest individual paths rather than dependency. The imagery invites multiple interpretations, including the idea of one figure confronting its own reflection across time.

In the first private office, Bleu referenced the Greek myth of Atlas, connecting the figure’s burden to the atlas bone and its role in supporting the human head and nervous system. The second room introduces Hygieia, the goddess of health, with vines extending beyond the walls and onto architectural surfaces to represent the ongoing pursuit of well-being.

The project concludes in Dr. Gregory’s office with a reinterpretation inspired by Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam. The near-touching hands reference the origin of thought and human potential, tying together the project’s overarching themes of mind, body, and transformation.
